Chicken Parmigiana
Serves 4
Ingredients
- 4 Chicken Breasts, boneless and skinless, pounded
- 1 Cup Breadcrumbs, seasoned
- 1/4 Cup Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese, grated
- 1/2 Cup Flour
- 2 Eggs, beaten
- Oil, for frying
- 1 Jar Stancato’s Sunday Premier Sauce
- 2 Cups Mozzarella Cheese, Shredded
- 2 Tbsp. Flat Leaf Parsley, fresh chopped
Directions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Season chicken with salt and pepper.
- Mix together the breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese.
- Lightly dust chicken in flour, then dip into eggs, and finally into the breadcrumbs.
- In a large pan, heat oil over medium high heat.
- Carefully place chicken into hot pan and begin cooking.
- Cook chicken until lightly browned on both sides, remove from pan and allow any excess oil to drain off.
- Place chicken in an oven safe dish or on a baking tray and top each one with Stancato’s Sunday Premier Sauce.
- Cover each chicken breast with mozzarella cheese and place into the oven.
- Bake until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees and the cheese is melted.
- Garnish with parsley and additional parmesan cheese as desired.
